 Bosch presents invisible data glasses

Pairing with the smartphone is imperative

Another big advantage is that no independent display is required. Because the display takes place directly on the retina of the user.A high-resolution 2D image the size of a business card then appears. The highlight: the image can only be seen by the wearer of the glasses. On the other hand, outsiders have to look very closely to discover a small, colorful dot on the lenses. If the system is switched
it cannot be seen at all that the glasses are data glasses. However, the glasses themselves do not have their own intelligence. Rather,it has to be paired with a smartphone app to display the desired information. By tapping the temple,at least smaller control commands can be transmitted without the cell phone.

The selling price depends on the integrated application

Bosch itself does not want to take over the marketing of the glasses to the end customer, but sees itself as a pure supplier. Therefore, the system should only be sold or rented to other groups, which can then develop their own products. There are some possible uses. For example,
the providers of navigation systems may be interested in transmitting information in this way. Ultimately, the invisible smart glasses from Bosch should come onto the market in many different versions with different capabilities. Against this background, it is understandable that no sales price has yet been communicated. However, one thing is clear: due to the deliberate limitation capabilities,
data glasses should be significantly cheaper than the first Google Glass models.
